Insight 9 - Rewiring The Aura

Insight 9

Rewiring The Aura

Teaching:

Your aura is the unseen field of your being, your vibration before your words. To rewire the aura is to cleanse the thoughts that create distortion, and to align with the divine current of truth and abundance.

When you cultivate calmness, gratitude and certainty, your aura begins to glow. You no longer chase, you attract. You no longer seek approval, you radiate presence. Your energy becomes prayer, silent yet powerful.

Practice:

Affirm:

I am wealth in motion. I am aligned with abundance. I do not chase, I attract. I release guilt and embrace expansion.

Visualize:

Close your eyes and breathe into your heart. See your aura as a luminous field around you, expanding with every inhale. Whisper to your aura:

"I am a magnet for abundance. Money is energy that flows safely to and through me. My presence is wealth."

End with gratitude:

"Thank you life, I feel your love."

Contemplation Question:

Who do I become when no one is watching? What frequency do I return to when I'm alone with my thoughts? What energy do I bring before I even speak? What emotion am I carrying and does it serve who I am becoming?

Reminder of the Day:

Guard your aura from negativity. Respond with peace, not reaction. Carry yourself with quiet confidence and inner stillness.

"My aura is my silent billboard, broadcasting my faith and frequency."

Gurbani Reflection:

"Man jeetai jag jeet."

- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 6.

("Conquer your mind, and you conquer the world.")

When the mind aligns with Naam, the aura shines naturally. Victory in life begins within when thoughts, emotions, and intentions harmonize with divine will. Your outer reality mirrors your inner state.

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

In Sufism, the aura is seen as the radiance of the heart (Hala). When the heart remembers the Divine - Hu, Al Nur (The Light) - the seeker's energy becomes luminious.

Sufis say, "The lover's scent arrives before his steps." Likewise your energy announces your state long before your words do. Remembrance polishes the aura until only Divine Light remains.

Reflection by Writer:

The aura is not something to decorate, it is something to discipline. It reflects your self dialogue, your faith, your peace. When I begin to treat my aura as sacred space guarding my words, thoughts and emotions, I noticed the world responding differently. Abundance stopped running, it started listening.

My aura is my teacher. My stillness is my wealth.

Insight 8 - The Secret Between Womb and Tomb

Insight 8

The Secret Between Womb and Tomb

Teaching:

Between the womb and the tomb lies one secret - Remembrance. We come empty and we leave empty, yet one thing can fill this space in between - the remembrance of the One. To remember is to live with awareness of His presence in every breath. To forget is to die while living.

Practice:

Throughout the day, softly repeat Satnam or Hu with your breath. Let it not be a sound on your tongue, let it settle in your heart. Walk, sit, work, breathe, all in remembrance.

Contemplation Question:

What is my heart remembering in each moment, the world, or the One who gave me breath?

Reminder of the Day:

Every breath is a chance to return. Don't wait for silence at the end - listen for it now, within you.

Gurbani Reflection:

"Simar Simar Simar sukh paavahu, kal kales tan maahe mitaavahu."

- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 295.

("Remember, remember, remember and peace will come. All inner pain disappears in remembrance.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

In Sufism, they say "Zikr" remembrance of Allah, is the food of the soul. Each time you say "Hu" or "La ilaha illa Hu," you polish the mirror of the heart. When the mirror shines, the Beloved's face is seen within. Both paths, Sikh and Sufi meet where the tongue stops and the heart begins to remember.

Reflection by Writer:

Between birth and death, we chase many things but only remembrance stays. It is the invisible thread that ties us back to the Source. When I remember, I am not Gurdev, not a body, not a name, I am His echo.

Insight 7 - Mother, Walk With Me

Insight 7

Mother, Walk With Me

Teaching:

When I walk slowly, with full awareness, I feel my late mother walking beside me. Her steps echo in mine, her breath flows through mine. She is not behind me, she is within me. Every cell carries her life. When I touch the earth with care, my mother touches it through me. When we walk mindfully, all our ancestors walk with us. There is no separation, only the continuing thread of love.

Practice:

Walk slowly today. Breathe fully, with awareness. With each step, whisper in your heart: "Mother, walk with me." Feel her presence in the rhythm of your steps, in the warmth of your body, in the steady beat of your heart. Even if she is no longer here, know that she lives in every breath you take.

Contemplation Question:

If my mother's love lives in me, how can I act so that she smiles through my life?

Reminder of the Day:

Walk slowly. Breathe fully. Feel the presence of those who love you, past and present moving within you. Every step is a gift. Every breathe carries their care. Walk with gratitude, walk with awareness and remember, you are never truly alone.

Gurbani Reflection:

"Pavan Guru, Pani Pita, Mata Dharat Mahat."

- Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 8.

("Air is the Guru, water the father, the great earth the mother. To walk upon the earth with gratitude is to honor our mother, the one who holds us, feed us, forgives us.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

"We are all born of Love. Love is our mother." - Rumi.

In Sufism, the mother reflects Divine Mercy, Rahma, God's tender compassion. To walk with awareness is to walk with this Motherly Presence within. To walk in remembrance (zikr) is to walk with the Beloved, the same Love that gave us life.

Reflection by Writer:

"Mummy Ji, I feel your quiet smile rise within me. It is not memory, it is presence. You live in the light I carry. I never walk alone. Forgive me Mummy. I love you always, forever."

Insight 6 - The Veil of "I" is born of Maya

Insight 6

The Veil of "I" is born of Maya

Teaching:

The "Veil Of I" is woven from the threads of Maya. When the light of awareness (Naam, Simran, Zikr) shines through, this veil thins and we see only the One.

The only distance between you and God is the illusion of "I." When the "I" fades away, the Beloved is revealed. The "I" is the veil, it says I do, I know, I am. But everything is done through His Will.

Even the breath we call ours is His gift. When we let go of this false self, the heart becomes clear and we see that there was never any distance.

Practice:

Sit quietly. Place your hand on your heart and say slowly inside, "Not I, but You within me." Let the words soften into silence. Feel that everything, your breath, your thoughts, your love - is the One moving through you.

Contemplation Question:

Where in my life do I still say, "I did it"? Can I begin to see that it was always He through me?

Reminder of the Day:

Watch your words today especially when you say I. Each time you notice it, silently replace it with You. Let your actions, thoughts and breath become a living remembrance that only the One acts through all.

Gurbani Reflection:

"Jab haumai jai ta Har paaiya."

- Guru Amar Das Ji, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 560.

("When the "I" goes, the truth appears. It was always there, waiting for us to remember.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

"Between me and You, there is only me. Remove the me and only You remain." - Al-Hallaj.

"Your worst enemy sits within your own chest." - Rumi.

The Sufi and the Sikh both speak of the same truth that we must empty ourselves to be filled with Him. When the "I" is gone, love takes over and only One Face everywhere. There was never two but only the One Light, playing as me, as you, all.

Reflection by Writer:

"The drop was never lost, it was always in the sea. Now, I only feel his Presence moving through me."

Insight 5 - One Light, Many Faces

Insight 5

One Light, Many Faces

Teaching:

There is no existence but His. Everything you see is the One wearing countless masks. The rose and the thorn, the saint and the sinner all arise from the same Ocean of Being. To see division is to forget Source, to see unity is to awaken to Truth.

Practice:

Look at one person today, truly look and silently say, "You too are his reflection." Let this remembrance soften your heart, dissolving judgement and separation.

Contemplation Question:

When I look at another, do I see their form or the Light that shines through them?

Reminder of the Day:

Every face, every sound, every breath is the Beloved speaking to you in disguise.

Gurbani Reflection:

"Aval Allah Noor Upaya, Kudrat Ke Sab Bande, Ek Noor Te Sab Jag Upjya, Kaun Bhale Ko Mande."

- Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 1349.

(First, the Creator created the Light, from this Light, all beings were made. So how can anyone be called good or bad when the same Light pervades all?")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

In Sufism, this truth is known as Wahdat al-Wujud, the Unity of Being. Ibn Arabi taught that all forms are mirrors reflecting the One Reality. When you see with the eye of the heart, you no longer say "this is God" and "this is not." You whisper instead: "Only God is."

Reflection by Writer:

"The world is not divided, the mind is. When the heart awakens, boundaries fade like mist before dawn. Then even in the shadow, you see Light. And in every soul, a spark of the same Divine fire that burns with you."

Insight 4 - The Fire of Desire

Insight 4

The Fire of Desire

Teaching:

Desire (Kam) is not the enemy. It is energy, a spark placed within us by the Creator. When forgotten, it burns and consumes. When remembered, it warms and awakens. The Gurus never asked us to destroy desire, but to turn its fire towards Truth.

The longing we feel for the world is a faint echo of the soul's longing for its Beloved. When the heart turns toward Naam, the same passion that once bound us becomes freedom. The restlessness of longing becomes prayer. As the moth is drawn to the flame, the soul too is drawn to its Beloved.

Practice:

When desire arises, do not run or suppress it. Sit with it. Breathe gently and remember Waheguru or Allah Hu, Al Hafiz and Al Nur. Let the fire turn upward, from body to heart, from heart to soul. Whisper the name until the flame steadies into light.

Contemplation Question:

What is this longing asking of me? Is it seeking the world or the One hidden within it?

Reminder of the Day:

The same fire that burns can also illumine. It depends where we place it.

Gurbani Reflection:

"The fire of desire is not quenched by desire, only through the Naam is this thirst satisfied."

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 932.

("Turn the Heart towards Naam, the longing becomes freedom and prayer.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

"Desire is a messenger, it comes to remind the heart of the love it has forgotten." - Rumi.

"The heart is like a candle. Desire is its flame. Let it burn not for the world but for the Face behind the veil." - Hazrat Inayat Khan.

In both Sikh and Sufi paths, longing is sacred. It is the rope that pulls the soul back to the Source.

Reflection by Writer:

"There was a time I feared my own desires. But now I see, each longing was a whisper from within, a small flame calling me home."

Insight 3 - The Presence That Never Left Us

Insight 3

The Presence That Never Left Us

Teaching:

The path does not lead to God, it leads to remembrance. The Divine was never distant, only veiled by forgetfulness. When we turn inward, whispering the Name with love, we awaken to the truth that God has always been there, within us, as breath, as Light.

Practice:

Sit quietly. With every inhale, feel the presence of life within you. With every exhale, softly whisper the name - "Satnam." Notice that you are not moving toward God, you are uncovering the Presence that never left. Let remembrance dissolve the distant between seeker and sought.

Contemplation Question:

If God has always been present, what is it that separates us from that awareness?

Reminder of the Day:

Every whisper of the Name, every breath of awareness, carries us back to the Presence that never left.

Gurbani Reflection:

"Jal te upjal jal maahi samaae."

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 202.

("From the water we arise, into the water we merge again.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

When the tongue softens into dhikr, the remembrance of the Divine Name, a light stirs within. The lover realizes, "I was never apart. It was my gaze that turned away. The man who remembers God is in the company of God." - Hadith Qudsi.

Reflection by Writer:

"Remembrance is the homecoming of the soul."

Insight 2 - Remembrance of the Name (Simran)

Insight 2

Remembrance of the Name (Simran)

Teaching:

At first, the sacred words rise softly from the lips, sound meeting breath. Soon the voice fades, and the mantra continues within, echoing silently in the mind. As remembrance descends into the heart, awareness deepens. The seeker begins to feel the rhythm of breath and the stillness of being. The mind wanders, yet returns again an again to remembrance.

When the attention lifts to the third eye, the seat of inner vision, a gentle light appears, brightening into pure radiance. With eyes half closed, gazing toward the nose's tip, the seeker sees the crossed legs and joined palms forming two interlocking triangles, the union of heaven and earth, spirit and matter. In that moment, the outer and inner dissolve, the lover and the Beloved merge as one.

Remembrance transforms the body into light, the breath into prayer, and the self into Love it self.

Ek Oang Kaar - The One Craetive Light.

Practise:

For the next few minutes, close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath. With each inhale, silently say "Wahe". With each exhale, silently say "Guru." Let the mantra move from the lips to the mind, and finally into the heart. When thoughts arise, return gently to remembrance, as wave returns to the ocean.

Contemplation Question:

When your mind becomes still and the mantra continues on its own, who is remembering who?

Reminder of the Day:

Every breath is a call to return. Let no breath pass without remembrance.

Gurbani Reference:

"Simra-O simar simar sukh paava-o, kal kales tan maahi mitaava-o."

- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 202.

(Meditate, meditate, meditate in remembrance of Him, and find peace, all anxiety and suffering depart from within.")

Comparative Reflection - Sufism:

In Sufism, this sacred remembrance mirrors Dhikr - the repetition of La Ilaha Illa'Llah (There is no God but God). The journey begins with the toungue, moves into the mind, and settles in the heart where remembrance becomes continuous. When the heart is purified, the seeker perceive Nur, the Divine Light and experiences Fana - the dissolution of the self into Oneness with God.

Just as the Sikh realizes Ek Oang Kaar, the Sufi recognizes Al-Haqq - The Ultimate Reality. Both paths lead the seeker from sound to silence, from self to unity, from remembrance to realization.

Reflection by Writer:

"Remembrance is not merely repeating the Name, it is becoming the Name itself."

Insight 1 - The Oneness of All

Insight 1

The Oneness of All

Teaching:

"Ek Oang Kaar" means "The One Creative Energy." It is the opening phrase of the Mool Mantra and the foundation of Sikh understanding of God - One without beginning or end, present in all creation. Everything we see, feel and experience flows from this Oneness. To live with awareness of Ek Oang Kaar is to see no separation, only unity in diversity.

Practise:

Sit quietly for a few moments. Bring your awareness to your heart. As you breathe in, say silently, "Ek." As you breathe out, say "Oang Kaar." Let this remembrance dissolve all sense of division, between you and others, between you and the Divine.

Contemplation  Question:

How can I see the One Light shinning in everyone I meet today?

Reminder for the Day:

"In One Light, all beings are connected. To see Oneness is to live in truth."

Gurbani Reference:

There is One Creator who prevades all creation; by His Command, we come and go."

(Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 1).
