The Oneness of All
Teaching:
"Ek Oang Kaar" means "The One Creative Energy." It is the opening phrase of the Mool Mantra and the foundation of Sikh understanding of God - One without beginning or end, present in all creation. Everything we see, feel and experience flows from this Oneness. To live with awareness of Ek Oang Kaar is to see no separation, only unity in diversity.
Practise:
Sit quietly for a few moments. Bring your awareness to your heart. As you breathe in, say silently, "Ek." As you breathe out, say "Oang Kaar." Let this remembrance dissolve all sense of division, between you and others, between you and the Divine.
Contemplation Question:
How can I see the One Light shinning in everyone I meet today?
